RESOLUTION HONORING NORBERT VANOCHTEN, JR.

RESOLUTION #02-004

WHEREAS, Norbert VanOchten, Jr. completed the Michigan State Police Training Academy and became a State Police Trooper at the age of 21; and

WHEREAS, in 1969 he took a leave of absence from the Michigan State Police to return to college to complete his degree in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University; and

WHEREAS, upon his graduation in 1971, he began his employment with the Ingham County Courts as a Probation Officer; and

WHEREAS, he was promoted to Casework Supervisor in 1977 and to his current position of Assistant Family Division Administrator in 1999; and

WHEREAS, through his years of service, Norbert has illustrated his dedication and his commitment toward helping those he served through the court system; and

WHEREAS, Norbert is retiring from his position of Assistant Family Division Administrator.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honor Norbert VanOchten, Jr. for his many years of dedicated service to the Ingham County Courts and the citizens of Ingham County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board appreciates the contributions and commitment he has made to the community and wishes him continued success in his future endeavors.
